I named my daughter Venetia, because I loved the name; at the time a book of names tied it into a Welsh name stemming from Guinevere and suggested it meant ‘White Owl’.
Over time I’ve heard her called Neeshie Neesha and Vee, none of which she likes or encouraged, certainly within the family we use her name as it was given.
