My son’s name is Frost, so named for the poet Robert Frost. At the time of his birth there was no registry data for the name in usage as a first name, nor was it included in ANY baby name lists on the Internet -which, granted, was young at that time. I added it myself to several lists as an option.
There is no given meaning to the name, except for in it’s surname usage. I myself thus attributed the meaning in accordance with it’s personal inspiration to me as:
He who chooses the road less taken; unique of thought and action.
This meaning has held astonishingly true in the case of my son. Acutely philosophical, creative, and distinguished with the inate ability to always choose to differ from the crowd by thinking out of the box. This is a name for a true free thinker and artist.
